Managing Director
Alexa Horne was born in Cape Town and was schooled at Springfield Convent. She went on to study BA LLB at UCT and graduated in 1999. Thereafter she worked at a Law Firm in London for two years and then decided it was time to return to Cape Town. Alexa completed her articles at Cliffe Dekker in Cape Town and was admitted as an attorney in 2001. She then spent ten years at Investec, six of which were spent dealing with foreigners buying property in SA. This has given her vast experience in terms of the structuring of local and offshore transactions and exchange control regulations. Alexa then moved back into Law and headed up a Conveyancing practice in Cape Town. In 2018, Alexa joined Dogon Group Properties as the General Manager and is enjoying utilising skills learnt from both her financial and legal background. Alexa loves her early morning runs through the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town!

Paul began in retail real estate sales in 1977, and very quickly gravitated to developments, feeling an instant affinity with the building process, and enjoying the ability to 'fit the home to the client'. An opportunity to join the Film Industry in 1985 offered 10 years travel experience throughout Europe. Returning to South Africa in 1995 after democracy, to open his own business within the Film and Advertising Industry brought immeasurable experience, both with people and production service. Odette Maartens moved to Cape Town in 1996, where she studied and started her career in hospitality. She worked for various prestigious 5-star hotels focusing on Events and Wedding Planning. In 2007 Odette decided to move onto real estate and joined DG Rentals. She took charge of the rental department, firstly focussing on High End Holiday Rentals and then started the long term rental division managing rental properties in sought-after areas like the Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs in Cape Town. Her experience in the hospitality sector equipped her with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a service driven approach. This contributed significantly to her success in real estate. Odette has strong leadership and interpersonal skills, which helps her to manage the team and nurture relationships. She maintains a multifaceted life while valuing time for exercise, her family, and her career.
