DG Properties have announced the appointment of a new Managing Director to help steer the organisation forward into what promises to be an exciting era for the group, which also recently announced a partnership, with the dynamic developers Berman Brothers having bought a majority stake in DG Properties.
Alexa Horne has been appointed Managing Director of DG Properties.
Horne holds her BA LLB from UCT. Prior to joining DG in 2018 as the company's General Manager, she spent ten years at Investec, six of which were spent dealing with foreigners buying property in SA. This has given Horne vast experience in the structuring of local and offshore transactions and exchange control regulations.
"The skills learnt from both her financial and legal background have well equipped Alexa for her new position as our Managing Director," says DG Properties. "We are very pleased to have her at the helm of the business and look forward to her tenure as Managing Director."
"I am very excited to be taking on this new challenge. Despite being in a tough market at the moment we are poised for great expansion. My emphasis is on growing DG Properties nationally and I am very pleased to see our market share increasing steadily in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs and in Gauteng, whilst we remain a dominant force in The Atlantic Seaboard."
DG Properties was launched in 2002 and set out with the bold ambition of redefining the South African luxury property industry. For the past 16 and a half years DG has been consistently achieving record property prices, including the most expensive property sold in South Africa, a R290-Million home in Bantry Bay in 2016. DG has become synonymous with premium residential property deals on Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, the Southern Suburbs, as well as in the Gauteng region, where DG opened a regional office in 2016.
